Who we are

This website, thegardenco.church, belongs to The Garden Collective (“Garden Co.”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit church at 1101 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320.

What we collect on this website

The site itself has no forms, accounts or comment boxes, so we don’t collect your name, email or phone number here.

We do count visits so we can see which pages help people and what to improve. For that we use two tools:

• Google Analytics uses cookies to report things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example a search or a link), your general location (city or region), and your device and browser. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
• Umami counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.

We only look at these numbers in total. We don’t use them to identify individual visitors, and we don’t sell or share them for advertising.

Giving, sign-ups and forms

When you give, register for an event, join a Table, sign up to serve or send a prayer request, you’re using Church Center, provided by Planning Center. The information you enter there goes to Planning Center and to our church staff so we can follow up with you. Payments are handled by Planning Center’s payment processor; we never see or store your full card or bank details. Planning Center’s own privacy policy covers that information.

Find a Table

The Tables you see on Find a Table come from our church database. We only show the general area a Table meets in. Hosts share their address directly with you after you join.

Other services the site uses

Pages load fonts from Adobe Fonts, and the site is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Like any website, these services receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the page. Links to YouTube, Spotify, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Children

This website isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it.

Changes

If we change how the website handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
